Drew started his construction career building residential homes on Cape Cod before transitioning to the Boston area and commercial markets working for Suffolk Construction.
With over 10 years of healthcare construction experience during his tenure at Suffolk, Drew specializes in the safe planning and execution of work within challenging environments.
Dedicated to the safety of UCG’s daily operations, Drew’s role as Vice President of Risk Management & Employee Development is to ensure the safety and well-being of UCG’s entire workforce. From ensuring our projects exceed safety standards and our field employees are properly trained to encouraging the career growth of each of our office employees, Drews leadership is evident in his daily work.
How many years have you been working in the construction industry?
I’ve been working in construction for over 22 years.
What was your first job in the construction industry?
My first construction job was working as an entry level carpenter on Cape Cod building houses. I worked with a very diversely talented group of guys who taught me a ton.
What is your focus here with Unified?
My focus here at Unified is ensuring that our field force can go home to their family at the end of each shift. Demolition is an incredibly dangerous occupation and safety at Unified is paramount.
When you’re not at work, how do you like to spend your free time?
When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my amazing family. I am incredibly blessed to have two beautiful children with the most amazing woman in the world.
What is the top item on your bucket list?
My bucket list item is to purchase a large piece of land that my family can enjoy for generations. Spending time outdoors is extremely important to my family and I am determined to leave my family with a piece of land they can enjoy for many years long after I am gone.
