Dylan Joyce
Assistant Safety Manager
Dylan’s route into the field of safety began at Mass Maritime Academy where he was studying Emergency Management. Inspired by one of his professors who played a pivitol role in shaping his career path, Dylan became interested in Occupational Safety. His collegiate internship with the Town of Barnstable working within the sector of municipal safety confirmed this career direction.
After graduating in 2023, Dylan further expanded his experience in the safety field while working for a construction safety consultant, gaining him valuable insight and hands on experience.
As our Assistant Safety Manager, Dylans day-to-day revolves around ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our team members and jobsites. From morning site visits to afternoon paperwork, Dylan works alongside the rest of the safety department to mitigate risks and further prioritize and bolster Unified’s safety culture.
What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?
I would buy my Grandparents house in Pembroke, MA. I spent a lot of time with them growing up and have the fondest memories in that house.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a police officer.
Describe your dream vacation.
My dream vacation would be a cruise to Alaska with my entire family.
Who or what inspires you the most?
My grandfather inspires me the most because he was an additional father figure for me growing up. He is 80 years old and still works and stays active which I admire!
